South Dakota runner takes first gold of 2010 games
Matt Bosch from South Dakota was the first athlete to claim a gold medal in the 2010 Special Olympics National Games, WINNING THE  10,000 meters Monday morning IN A TIME OF 41 minutes, 24 seconds, nearly seven minutes faster than anyone else to cover the 6.21 miles -- 25 times around the Ed Weir Track oval. Said Bosch, “I wanted to run under 45 minutes today. It felt great. Feels like I could go out and run it again.”

No Big Monday for Huskers basketball
The Big 12 will be featured five times on ESPN’s Big Monday basketball schedule, but not primetime coverage for Nebraska in their final season in the conference. In fact Kansas or Kansas State is featured four of the five times the Big 12 is represented.
